Innocence Project

MDA collaborated with the nonprofit organization, Innocence Project, to create a fresh, innovative, and functional new 18,250 SF office space, across from their existing office at 40 Worth Street.  The goal was to balance the company’s need for private offices with the desire to incorporate open and collaborative work areas.  The design retained few focus areas from the previous tenant and redesigned the rest to incorporate a new program by opening the perimeter offices by adding full glass fronts, with double-glazed system at locations where privacy was necessary.  Exposed ceiling with pendant lighting along with floating baffles were incorporated on all private office and open areas.  Large 30-person boardroom was designed for regular office events/presentations with the ability to subdivide into smaller conference rooms with sliding acoustical panels, when desired.   A formal reception with two waiting areas flanked with a coffee bar also seconds as spill out area for large events.

Innocence’s existing office received a small refresh as well, including new phone rooms, workstations, and on-brand finishes to tie both spaces together.
